Chaals, a Chartered Accountant and project and financial management professional, has amassed over 30 years experience in conducting internal and external audits in both public and private sectors. His wealth of experience, coupled with his skillset covering multiple disciplines, has given him the ability to analyse client problems from multiple lenses and to solve most complex audit issues and disputes.
He has specific expertise in the Agribusiness sector, and is a highly skilled project manager with extensive experience in performance/results-based management, procurement and supply chain management, including risk analysis and management project implementation.
Chaals has also had over fifteen years of working experience with multilateral organisations such as UNDP and WHO, in national health programs for over 14 countries spread over Sub Saharan Africa, the South Pacific, and in Asia.
As a Financial Management Consultant for the UNDP, New York, he carried out institutional risk assessments in several UNDP country offices including Togo, Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, Guinea Bissau, and the People’s Democratic Republic of Korea. At the WHO, Western Pacific Regional Office in the Philippines, he was responsible for the management and implementation of three large public health programs for the Global Fund with budgets over USD80m for the government of Papua New Guinea.
Alongside his role as Senior Partner, Chaals lends his professional expertise across accounting and advisory, audit and assurance, and corporate finance.
